The honest comparisonWritten to be checked

Eight agencies get the lead. One gets the board.

You have almost certainly bought internet leads. This page compares them to a board plainly, including the parts they do better, because a comparison you cannot check is just an ad.

What lead vendors genuinely do better.

  • Cheaper per record. A shared trucking lead runs $35 to $125. A board is $249 a month. If you count records instead of outcomes, they win.
  • Instant. A lead can be in your inbox this afternoon. Our first issue arrives when your board is cut, and the events on it run on the record’s clock, not yours.
  • Declared intent. The person filled out a form asking for quotes. That is real, and nothing on a filing board says “call me.” If you need volume dialed today, that model exists for a reason.
The economics, calmly

Why the same lead reaches eight desks.

A lead vendor pays to create each shopper: search ads, quote sites, call centers. One agency’s $50 rarely covers what the shopper cost to produce, so the vendor sells the same name several times. That is not a scandal. It is the arithmetic of their model, and it is why the words shared and exclusive-priced exist on their rate cards.

The consequence lands on your producers: the lead answers the phone already three quotes deep, the race goes to whoever dialed first, and everyone who lost the race still paid. The product is a foot race, priced per entry.

The other mechanism

A board is not a faster race. It is a different sport.

A board row is a dated event from a federal filing: a carrier whose coverage was cancelled on a thirty day clock, a 100+ life plan renewing 1/1, each row citing the filing it came from. The record is public; anyone willing to read it every morning could build this. Nobody hands it to your competitors ranked, dated, and cut to your state, because we sell each state once.

  • Exclusive by construction. One agency per state. While you hold the board, we sell that territory to no one else.
  • Dated, so it ranks itself. Row one is the shortest clock, not the oldest record. Monday morning starts at the top.
  • Checkable before anyone is contacted. Every row cites its public filing. Find one that fails its check and the month is free.
  • Never padded. A quiet week says so, and a month under 10 dated events is free. Vendors sell you more leads in a slow week; we owe you the truth about one.
The arithmetic

Run it with your numbers, not ours.

Open the sample issue and count the dated events. Divide $249 by that count and you have the price per exclusive, dated, cited event. Set it beside $35 to $125 for a shared record with up to seven competitors attached, apply your own close rates, and the comparison does its own talking. We publish no close-rate claims here: yours is the only one that matters, and anyone quoting one before seeing your market is guessing.

The honest routing

Choose them if. Choose us if.

Buy internet leads if

You need volume this afternoon, you have producers who win dialing races, and your economics work at shared-lead close rates. That is a real operating model and some shops run it well.

Buy a board if

You work a territory, you want your producers first to a dated event instead of eighth to a shared name, and you would rather own a state’s record than rent a race entry. Many agencies run both; the board is the part nobody else has.
